Fry’s Cruising operates primarily with a genuine Zodiac MilPro rigid inflatable boat (RIB) to provide the best performance and the safest ride. Our 18-foot RIB consists of an aft center steering console, a fiberglass deep-V hull, heavy-duty Hypalon/Neoprene tube, and a clean burning 90hp outboard engine.
This boat is fast, maneuverable, extremely stable and self-draining. Five independent air chambers provide exceptional buoyancy, making for a lightweight, fuel efficient and virtually unsinkable vessel designed to reach high speeds, to safely carry heavy loads even in rough conditions, and to both easily access shallow water and beach the shore. This highly versatile RIB is the real-deal Zodiac used often by the US Coast Guard, Navy and military!
While our boat is factory-rated to safely carry 14 people or 2800 lbs, Fry’s Cruising Zodiac excursions accommodate 6 passengers maximum for comfort and licensure compliance. All passengers sit on the heavy-duty Hypalon inflated tube, with three people per side. This yields a well-balanced boat, plenty of interior room for standing or taking pictures when stopped, and above all, the greatest comfort when underway due to the prominent cushioning furnished by the inflated tubes.
Our goal is to provide a high level of excitement and adventure, while maintaining complete safety. The boat is fully equipped with all required USCG safety gear (and then some). To further ensure safety, Fry’s Cruising requires every passenger to wear a life jacket at all times. Automatic inflatable life jackets will be provided to you for the duration of each excursion, and are very comfortable to wear; going unnoticed once you put them on.
